The Unspoken Journey

The day she got the news,

she had never been happier.

Awaited this exact moment for so long,

that she burst into tears immediately.

"A small part of me" she admired,

adoring her little one all day long.

A boy or a girl didn't matter,

a half version of her and the one she loved, excited her the most.

It was a long journey,

nine months wasn't a short period,

but she knew, it was worth the wait.

All along her smile never faded.

Her happiness lies in buying tiny clothes,

imagining those little feet and hands,

So soft, so weak, so fragile,

wrapped up like a caterpillar.

Sometimes feared if she was enough,

felt the child deserved more,

consoled herself and promised,

to provide her child with the best she could.

The nerve-wracking doctor's appointment,

nothing but only hope for a positive news

Always thankful to everyone,

who blessed her through.

Sleepless nights were true,

the pain wasn't comforting,

craving for foods, she never imagined

yet enjoying the experience all along.

The end was near, she feared

the child meeting the world so soon,

Protecting 'Lil one would become more difficult,

but her eagerness dominated over.

Off she went, into the delivery room,

praying for the health and wealth of her little one.

Thanked the universe for giving her the power,

to birth her child, now changing her life forever.
